The Pourcyrous Study: Peer Reviewed study PROVES vaccines cause brain injury   from Tim O’Shea DC

For years I've been saying in the vaccine seminar and in my textbook on vaccines that this is just scratching the surface of the enormous body of research into Problems with Vaccines. At my recent lecture in Oxford England an attendee gave me a new book she has written about Shaken Baby Syndrome. In Catherine England's book I learned about the landmark Pourcyrous study on brain inflammation following vaccines. (Journal of Pediatrics 2007, vol 151, p 167) In a sample of 239 premature infants (less than 35 weeks) tests were done using two parameters for brain inflammation: C -reactive protein and evaluation of cardiopulmonary function. It was a very thorough study, University of Tennessee, differentiating the effects from a single vaccine vs. multiple vaccines given to these premature newborns. C-reactive protein is a blood value test, high levels of which indicate inflammation. No wonder the results were kept out of media: they were startling.

Among premies getting a single vaccine shot: 70% had elevated CRP ( C-reactive protein)

Premies who got multiple vaccines: 85% had high CRP. Fully 16% had cardiopulmonary events within 48 hours, including apnea and bradycardia.

In a premie, these effects are potentially fatal, of course.

Brain hemorrhages occurred in 17% of those with single vaccines, and in 24% getting multiple vaccines.

As expected, the most dangerous vaccine was DPT. Multiple vaccines included Hepatitis B, polio, DPT, H. influenzae, and Prevnar. Several things here. The recklessness in giving vaccines to premies isn't even discussed. Oh, so it’s for the sake of ‘science,’ so it’s OK, right? Of course there are no risk/benefit studies whatsoever in this area, but it stands to reason if a normal newborn takes at least 2 years to develop even a rudimentary immune system, how much more ill-advised it is to subject a premie who has no immune system at all as well as no blood brain barrier to an array of vaccines which contain neurotoxins such as mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde, ethylene glycol in addition to a host of manmade pathogens.

Knowing this alone, what kind of "scientist" would it take to even conduct a study like this in the first place on the fragile systems of premature infants? Sounds like something Dr. Mengele would come up with. 

One struggles for adjectives to describe this policy of vaccinating premies. But if these dangerous results are so high at this age, how much lower results could we expect just a few weeks later when they're at the usual age for getting multiple vaccines? What are we doing? What are scientists playing at?

How smart or how dumb do you have to be to realize how cavalier we're being with the most delicate medium in the universe: the infant's brain neurology? You can bet these geniuses aren't experimenting with their own children. 

Here's how the condescending conclusion of this searing study evaluates its own data on potentially lethal apnea and slowed heart beat: "In a minority of infants immunized, cardiorespiratory events were associated with presumed need for intervention". 

A minority? 17% is a pretty high minority especially if you're talking about the chances of your own infant dying from slowed heart rate and cessation of breathing! And for what?

The value of vaccines has never been clearly demonstrated, never proven in an independent controlled risk/benefit analysis. In other words, we don't know if they work or not. But we're positive they can kill babies. “Presumed need for intervention”? Like what? Drugs? Intensive care?

How about removing the root cause: just don’t vaccinate!

The next time your hear some mouthpiece recite the rote mantra about how there’s no proof vaccines cause brain injury, stop them in mid sentence with the Pourcyrous study - www.jpeds.com/article/S0022-3476(07)00185-0/abstract  

As a parent, wouldn’t it be important to know that your child stands a 17% of a breathing crisis as the result of a vaccine? Or a 24% chance of brain hemorrhage with multiple vaccines, which multiples routinely begin at 2 months of age, with 7 vaccines on one day? I mean here’s the information from the best medical sources. Is the pediatrician going to tell the parents about these studies? Isn’t this level of danger worth knowing about?

Think You Know About Thimerisol?

Natural Health News thanks our colleague, Tim Bolen, for this insightful article about Thimerisol.  Bolen notes that back in the 1930s the risk of this mercury (Hg) compound was of real concern.

Mercury is a deadly toxin - in any form.  Deadly to any living entity.  The product Thimerosal (Merthiolate) is a mercury-containing pharmaceutical compound that is 49.55% mercury.  It was developed in 1927.   More, unlike other forms of mercury, Thimerosal, is both water and fat soluble - meaning that it immediately penetrates into every part of the human body, and attaches itself wherever it wants.  When it is injected, as in vaccines, the human body's natural defense mechanisms that would work to catch and expel INGESTED forms of mercury, are completely bypassed allowing Thimerasol to quickly bind itself in places in the body we definitely DO NOT want it - like the brain.

Thimerosal has been marketed as an antimicrobial agent in a range of products, including topical antiseptic solutions and antiseptic ointments for treating cuts.  It was in nasal sprays, eye solutions, vaginal spermicides, and diaper rash treatments.  Perhaps most importantly it is used, even now, as a preservative in vaccines and other injectable biological products, including Rho(D)-immune globulin preparations. 

Despite evidence, dating to the early 1930s, indicating Thimerosal to be potentially hazardous to humans and ineffective as an antimicrobial agent it is still being used.

Crazy as it sounds, Thimerosal was not scrutinized as part of U.S. pharmaceutical products until the 1980s, when the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) finally recognized its demonstrated ineffectiveness and toxicity in topical pharmaceutical products, and began to eliminate it from these.   In 1998, finally, the US FDA took topically used (applied to the skin) Thimerosal products off of the market - as being too dangerous. 

Insane as it sounds, the US FDA didn't seem to have a problem with that same mercury being INJECTED directly into the human body - especially into our children.  Worse, Thimerosal continues to be administered, as part of mandated immunizations and other pharmaceutical products, in the United States, and globally.

What is VAERS?
The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA) of 1986 mandated the reporting of certain adverse events following vaccination to help ensure the safety of vaccines distributed in the United States. This Act led to the establishment of the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) in November 1990 by the Department of Health and Human Services. VAERS provides a database management system for the collection and analysis of datafrom reports of adverse events following vaccination. VAERS is operated jointly by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). VAERS currently receives approximately 800-1000 reports each month.

Who can report to VAERS?
Any one can report to VAERS. VAERS reports are usually submitted by health care providers, vaccine manufacturers,and vaccine recipients (or their parents/guardians). Patients, parents, and guardians are encouraged to seek the help of a health-care professional in reporting to VAERS.

Why should I report to VAERS?
Registries of disease or injury work best when reporting is complete. Complete reporting of post-vaccination events supplies public health professionals with the information they need to ensure the safest strategies of vaccine administration.

Does my reporting injuries (or deaths) to VAERS affect personal liability?
No. The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 provides liability protection through the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. In light of this protection, practitioner liability is unaffected by the VAERS reporting requirement.

What events should be reported to VAERS?
Although NCVIA only requires reporting of the post-vaccination adverse events mentioned in the Reportable Events Table, VAERS encourages all reporting of any clinically significant adverse event occurring after the administration of any vaccine licensed in the United States. On average, about 17% of the reports reflect adverse events resulting in life-threatening illness, hospitalization, permanent disability, extended hospital stay or death. The remaining 83% of the reports primarily describe events such as fever, local reactions transient crying or mild irritability, and other less serious experiences.

The Reportable Events Table specifically outlines the reportable post-vaccination events and the time frames in whichthey must occur in order to qualify as being reportable. A copy of the Table can be obtained by calling 1-800-822-7967.

The NCVIA requires the following events be reported:

    Any event set forth in the Reportable Events Table that occurs within the time period specified.
    Any event listed in the manufacturer's package insert as a contraindication to subsequent doses of the vaccine.

How are VAERS reports analyzed?
Both the CDC and the FDA review data reported to VAERS. The CDC focuses on collective reports, attempting to detect unusual epidemiologic trends and associations. The FDA reviews individual reports, assessing whether are ported event is adequately reflected in product labeling, and also closely monitors reporting trends for individual vaccine manufacturers and vaccine lots.

Safety surveillance includes the analysis of reports by individual epidemiologists, and weekly review meetings of serious VAERS reports to detect potential risks which require further investigation.

Can information reported to VAERS cause a recall of a vaccine?
The FDA has the authority to recall a vaccine from use in the United States if they feel it represents a risk to the American public. VAERS reports may signal that there is the potential for a safety risk, which would prompt a wider evaluation of the safety of the vaccine lot. If the evaluation confirms a risk, the batch can be recalled.

Over the last 10 years, there have been only three vaccine recalls. One batch of vaccine was recalled after the FDA detected impurities in the vaccine; another was mislabeled. The third batch was recalled because an FDA inspection found substandard conditions at the production plant which had the potential to produce a substandard batch.

In the winter of 1996-97, a pharmaceutical company voluntarily withdrew a vaccine from distribution because it did not retain its protective effect long enough after manufacture to meet Federal standards. This vaccine was not a safety threat, but did not work well enough to protect people from getting the disease it was designed to protect them from.

Are all events reported to VAERS caused by vaccinations?
Again, VAERS accepts all reports of adverse events following vaccination, so not all events reported to VAERS arecaused by vaccines. In fact, limitations such as differential reporting rates, simultaneous administration of different vaccine antigens, temporal reporting bias and lack of background vaccination rate data generally prevent the determination of vaccine-event causal associations using VAERS data. Without fully understanding its limitations, results from VAERS can easily be misinterpreted.

 Each and EVERY State has exemptions. For those states which allow for "Philosophical" exemption the parent simply needs to have personal reasons and the school can not stop a student from attending on the grounds of incomplete vaccine records!  For all other states Religious and Medical exemptions are permitted. Although each state has different laws for what "Religious Exemption" really means most will except a "Moral or Personal Conviction in the Strength of a Religious Belief" as enough and do not and can not legally require any actual religious documentation. IF you find yourself in a situation where your school district is telling you that proof of religious belief is required, there are advocates which will work for and with you to make sure you are protected as this is simply not legal! DO NOT let them scare you, the law is on YOUR side!  

Polysorbate 80 - One toxic ingredient in vaccines

Polysorbate 80 in vaccines has become a controversial topic. When I worked in a food lab and as a mixologist in food production, we used Tween 80, (another name for Polysorbate 80), as an emulsifier to get flavoring oils to mix with water, and personally I never thought anything of it at the time. I did not suffer any ill effects from contact or from using it, however that was over 20 years ago and I never injected it into the skin.

According to the MSDS sheet at Science lab.com, section 11: Toxicological Information, it was tested for inhalation and ingestion and was shown to be slightly hazardous on skin contact, ingestion and inhalation. however these are minor compared to other potential side effects of it's use especially in an intravenous or immunologic setting. In the same section of toxicological information it states that it may cause reproductive effects, it may cause cancer, and may be a mutagenic, (change the genetics), in animals but this is followed up with the statement, no human data found. Well, unless they use people as lab rats, they won't find this data until it is used on humans to an extent to present this data.

According to PubMed.Gov a service of the U.S. Library of Medicine and the National Institute of Health, a report shows that neonatal rats were injected with small doses of polysorbate 80 and the results were major effects on the reproductive organs of the rats, resulting in infertility. (see the PubMed link below). Considering this is a component of the Gardasil HPV vaccine, (not to mention other vaccines), and they are recommending this to girls at prepubescent ages, there should be some concern to any parent that this could possibly lead to infertility in your child.

Another research article at PubMed studied Polysorbate 80 in an intravenous vitamin mix given to a pregnant woman who suffered anaphylactic shock where polysorbate 80 was identified as the causative agent, and yet another study showed two patients who developed hypersensitive reactions to red blood cell growth hormones and subsequent skin testing indicated polysorbate 80 as the culprit. This finding might have implications in the recent increase in the incidence of pure red cell aplasia.

Polysorbate 80 in vaccines appears to be innocent when looking at the MSDS, but further digging reveals a possible hidden danger, especially a potential sterility to girls, and amplified because it is in all 3 Gardasil vaccines.

The National Biodefense Science Board, convened a two day meeting of the Anthrax Vaccine Working Group at the request of the Department of Health and Human Services (July 7 and 8). The July 7 meeting was open to the public: the July 8 meeting was closed.
The Alliance for Human Research Protection took the lead in speaking out against this medical travesty. This US government-proposed anthrax vaccine experiment would expose children to a controversial vaccine whose efficacy is unproven but whose risks of harm are serious and even life-threatening.
The FDA-approved label for ANTHRAX VACCINE ADSORBED (BIOTHRAX™) 31 JAN 2002 states:
"Approximately 6% of the reported events were listed as serious. Serious adverse events include those that result in death, hospitalization, permanent disability or are life-threatening. The serious adverse events most frequently reported were in the following body system categories: general disorders and administration site conditions, nervous system disorders, skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders, and musculoskeletal, connective tissue and bone disorders. Anaphylaxis and/or other generalized hypersensitivity reactions, as well as serious local reactions, were reported to occur occasionally following administration of BioThrax. None of these hypersensitivity reactions have been fatal.
Other infrequently reported serious adverse events that have occurred in persons who have received BioThrax have included: cellulitis, cysts, pemphigus vulgaris, endocarditis, sepsis, angioedema and other hypersensitivity reactions, asthma, aplastic anemia, neutropenia, idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura, lymphoma, leukemia, collagen vascular disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, polyarteritis nodosa, inflammatory arthritis, transverse myelitis, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, immune deficiency, seizure, mental status changes, psychiatric disorders, tremors, cerebrovascular accident (CVA), facial palsy, hearing and visual disorders, aseptic meningitis, encephalitis, myocarditis, cardiomyopathy, atrial fibrillation, syncope, glomerulonephritis, renal failure, spontaneous abortion and liver abscess. Infrequent reports were also received of multisystem disorders defined as chronic symptoms involving at least two of the following three categories: fatigue, mood-cognition, musculoskeletal system.
Reports of fatalities included sudden cardiac arrest (2), myocardial infarction with polyarteritis nodosa (1), aplastic anemia (1), suicide (1) and central nervous system (CNS) lymphoma (1)."

What's in your vaccine?

One of the key points to understanding why vaccines can be so dangerous is knowing what is actually in them. I've heard from parent after parent that vaccines are "Mercury Free," "Chemical Free," and that they "Just contain some dead viruses." ALL of these statements are 100% FALSE, FALSE & FALSE!!!  It never ceases to amaze me what people believe simply because their doctor said it. And doctors will say anything!

BMJ Fails to Disclose Money Link to Vaccine Manufacturers

Considering we are experiencing another wave of pertussis in places where the vaccine was greatly utilized, just as we face more flu cases in vaccinated people, one rally has to see beyond the dogma of a failed paradigm.

The money wasted on vaccine programs can be better spent on improving access to health promoting foods that support your immune system and help you stay free from disease.  This is a well known public health dictate: host health status as a barrier to disease.

The editor in chief of the BMJ acknowledges that AHRP was right to criticize the BMJ and its editor for failing to disclose to its readership, the BMJ financial ties to Merck--manufacturer of 13 vaccines. She also acknowledges income from GSK--manufacturer of several vaccines as well.

Although Vera's claims may seem far-fetched on this occasion, she is right that we should have declared the BMJ Group's income from Merck as a competing interest to the editorial (and the two editor's choice articles) that accompanied Brian Deer's series on the Secrets of the MMR scare.[2] [3] [4] We should also, as you say, have declared the group's income from GSK as a competing interest in relation to these articles. We will publish clarifications." 

However, her statement, "We didn't declare these competing interests because it didn't occur to us to do so " is startling. How seriously are we to take her strongly articulated stance against researchers who fail to disclose their financial conflicts of interest--if she doesn't recognize her journal's blatant conflict of interest?

Either she is being disingenuous or downright cynical about the BMJs declared stand against financial conflicts of interest that are undermining the integrity of medical research reports, and its own clandestine partnerships with industry.

Let's be clear: financial conflicts of interest ALWAYS influence the position one defends-- human nature is no different between politicians whose campaign chests are filled by vested interests, government officials, or academics who have grown dependent on financial support from special interests. Each delivers the service for which he /she is paid.

In 2008, the pharmaceutical giant, Merck, signed a partnership agreement with the BMJ Group that effectively gave the company control of 350 interactive continuing medical education courses in over 20 medical therapy areas?

In 2009, The Lancet also entered into a Merck partnership.

Why did the BMJ conceal from readers--of both the Deer series and the BMJ editorial excoriating Dr. Andrew Wakefield, charging him with deliberate fraud and financial conflict of interest--the fact that the BMJ had a partnership with Merck, manufacturer of 13 vaccines--including the MMR vaccine, which is at the center of the Wakefield controversy?  

The BMJ editorial accompanying Deer's articles, did its best to lend authority to the vaccine industry (Merck's) perspective. In an introductory sound bite the editors declare: "Clear evidence of falsification of data should now close the door on this damaging vaccine scare."

Researchers Suggest Sick Building Syndrome May Be Caused by Vaccinations

“New research at the Chaim Zabludowicz Center for Autoimmune Diseases identifies sick building syndrome as autoimmune syndrome induced by adjuvants.”

A new term recently entered the medical arena, ASIA, or autoimmune inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants, sometimes called Shoenfeld's syndrome.

Adjuvants are additives included in vaccines to cause the immune system to respond more strongly. They may include things like aluminum, thimerosal (mercury), and squalene. These adjuvants have been associated with defined and non-defined immune mediated diseases in both animal and human models. In extreme cases, a potentially deadly cytokine storm may be possible.

“In recent years four conditions: siliconosis, the Gulf war syndrome GWS), the macrophagic myofasciitis syndrome (MMF) and post-vaccination phenomena were linked with previous exposure to an adjuvant,” says head researcher Israeli. “Furthermore, these four diseases share a similar complex of signs and symptoms which further support a common denominator.”

These diseases were classified under Shoenfeld's syndrome by researchers Shoenfeld and Agmon-Levin.

Israeli and colleagues suggest adding sick building syndrome under the classification of autoimmune inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants. Nine out of ten main symptoms are present in all 5 conditions.

Sick building syndrome is a set of clinically recognizable symptoms without a clear cause reported by occupants of a specific building. New research at the Chaim Zabludowicz Center for Autoimmune Diseases identifies sick building syndrome as autoimmune syndrome induced by adjuvants.

Several similar syndromes, including SBS, multiple chemical sensitivity, repetition stress injury, the side effects of silicone breast implants, the Gulf War syndrome (GWS), chronic fatigue syndrome, irritable

bowel syndrome, and fibromyalgia may be related.

Shoenfeld and Agmon-Levin further propose several major and minor criteria, which, although requiring

further validation, may aid in the diagnosis of this newly defined syndrome.

The safety of vaccines is a very controversial subject. In some cases, there is a 50/50 split in the populations’ trust of some vaccines. Less than half of medical professionals take the flu vaccine for themselves. Where there is this much controversy, a safety issue is definitely going on that is not being properly addressed.

Adjuvants are already known to trigger the development of inflammatory illnesses in people who are genetically susceptible. Therefore, some people are choosing not to vaccinate or are selectively choosing vaccines for only the most dangerous diseases. May adult and childhood vaccines may also be requested without the addition of adjuvants when available.

Symptoms of Shoenfeld's syndrome include seemingly unexplained:
